How It Works
Three words: easy, free, profitable. A to Z Recycling pays cash
to schools, businesses, churches, and non-profit organizations
for inkjets, laser toners*, cell phones, iPods and computers.
We offer a free pick-up service in the Metro Louisville/Southern
Indiana area, and free shipping from outside the area. You collect,
we pick-up and you receive a check 4-6 weeks later.
*toners must be original name brand only. We can’t accept generic,
compatible, remanufactured or office store replacement cartridges.
The 5 brands we accept are HP, Lexmark, Brother, Canon and Dell.

A total of 30 cartridges or phones is needed for a pick-up.
What if we collect items that aren’t on your price list?
We pay .10 for all cell phones not on the price list. All inkjets
get recycled, regardless of their value.
How do we schedule a pick-up?
You can either set up a monthly pick-up, or you can call or email
us when one is needed. Our info is at the top of each page.
How and when is payment made?
Payment is made by check and checks are sent 30 days
from pick-up. They will be written out to the organization and
the envelopes will be addressed to the person managing the recycling
program.
What are my responsibilities as the person managing our
program?
The manager of the program is responsible for putting out reminders
each month (which we provide the first week of each month), requesting
the pick-ups and handling the check when it arrives.
What are things I can do to have the most profitable program?
1 – Put out the reminder that is emailed once a month.
• Email a copy to each staff member and teacher. Ask them to talk
about it with their class and hang a copy in their classroom
• Print off a few copies and hang them in high traffic areas such
as the front doors, the office door, the cafeteria door, etc.
• Send home a b/w copy with each student
2 – Host a contest every few months. Prizes can be a pizza party,
class held in the gym or outside, or a dress-down day.
3 – Refer us to other schools, churches or organizations. For
each referral, your organization will earn $20 at the time of
the new recycler’s second pick-up.
We always ask how people found us so we’ll know it’s you if you
make the referral.

Word of mouth is how we’re now recycling with over 100 schools
in Greater Louisville. If you refer us, we’ll send a check to
your organization for $20 when the new recycler has a second pick-up.
